Summary

CVE-2023-5741 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the POWR plugin for WordPress. This issue, impacting versions up to and including 2.1.0, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the 'powr-powr-pack' shortcode. Consequently, authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions and above can inject malicious web scripts within pages, leading to unintended execution whenever a user accesses an injected page.
