Summary
CVE-2023-5708 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the WP Post Columns plugin for WordPress. The issue, existing in all versions up to 2.2, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the plugin's 'column' shortcode. This flaw enables authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions and above to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses a page containing the injected content, posing a significant security risk.
