Summary

CVE-2023-5706 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the VK Blocks plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the 'vk-blocks/ancestor-page-list' block, which permits insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. Consequently, authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions or higher can inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts will then execute whenever a user accesses an injected page, posing a potential security threat.
