Summary

CVE-2023-5704 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the CPO Shortcodes plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 1.5.0, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the plugin's shortcodes. Consequently, authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions and above can inject malicious web scripts. These scripts will be executed whenever a user accesses an injected page, posing a significant security risk.
