Summary

CVE-2023-5661 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Social Feed plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the 'socialfeed' shortcode, where user-supplied attributes lack adequate input sanitization and output escaping in all versions up to 1.5.4.6. Consequently, authenticated attackers with author-level or above access can inject malicious scripts. These scripts will execute whenever a user views an injected page, posing a significant security risk.
