Summary

CVE-2023-5644 is a vulnerability affecting the WP Mail Log WordPress plugin before version 1.1.3. This issue grants users with the Contributor role unauthorized access to REST API endpoints. As a result, they can view and delete data that is meant to be restricted to Admin users, posing a potential security risk. The plugin's failure to properly authorize these endpoints enables unintended actions and could lead to sensitive data being compromised. To mitigate this vulnerability, users are advised to update the plugin to the latest version as soon as possible.
