Summary

CVE-2023-5641 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Martins Free & Easy SEO BackLink Link Building Network WordPress plugin before version 1.2.30. This issue occurs due to the plugin's failure to sanitize and escape a user input parameter, which is then echoed back to the page without proper encoding. Malicious actors can exploit this vulnerability by injecting malicious scripts, potentially gaining unauthorized access to sensitive data or taking control of high privilege user accounts, such as admin.
