Summary

CVE-2023-5621 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Thumbnail Slider With Lightbox plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions up to and including 1.0, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the Image Title field. Authenticated attackers with administrator-level access can exploit this flaw to inject arbitrary web scripts. The vulnerability only impacts multi-site installations and those with unfiltered_html disabled. Successful exploitation allows the attacker's malicious scripts to execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
