Summary

CVE-2023-5606 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the ChatBot plugin for WordPress. This issue arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the FAQ Builder, present in versions 4.8.6 through 4.9.6. Authenticated attackers, including those with administrator-level permissions, can inject arbitrary web scripts that will execute when a user accesses an injected page. This vulnerability is unique to multi-site installations and environments where unfiltered_html has been disabled.
