Summary

CVE-2023-5567 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the QR Code Tag plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions up to 1.0, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions and above to inject malicious scripts. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the 'qrcodetag' shortcode, enabling the attacker to execute arbitrary web scripts when a user accesses an injected page.
