Summary

CVE-2023-5532 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery vulnerability affecting the ImageMapper plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 1.2.6 are impacted, due to insufficient nonce validation in the 'imgmap_save_area_title' function. Attackers can exploit this flaw to update post titles and inject malicious JavaScript via a forged request. Successful exploitation requires tricking an administrator into performing a specific action, such as clicking on a link. Unauthenticated attackers can leverage this vulnerability to gain control over affected websites.
