Summary
CVE-2023-5506 is a vulnerability affecting the ImageMapper plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the 'imgmap_delete_area_ajax' function, which lacks adequate capability checks. This flaw allows authenticated attackers, including those with subscriber-level permissions, to delete arbitrary posts and pages.
