Summary
CVE-2023-5470 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Etsy Shop plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions up to 3.0.4, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject malicious scripts. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the 'etsy-shop' shortcode. Successful exploitation enables attackers to execute arbitrary web scripts on pages visited by unsuspecting users.
