Summary

CVE-2023-5466 is a vulnerability affecting the Wp Anything Slider plugin for WordPress. This issue, which impacts versions up to and including 9.1, allows authenticated attackers with subscriber-level permissions and above to execute SQL Injections through the plugin's shortcode. The cause of the vulnerability lies in insufficient escaping of user-supplied parameters and a lack of proper preparation of existing SQL queries. By appending additional SQL queries, attackers can extract sensitive information from the database.
