Summary

CVE-2023-5465 is a vulnerability affecting the Popup with Fancybox plugin for WordPress. This issue, occurring in versions up to and including 3.5, allows authenticated attackers with subscriber-level or higher permissions to inject SQL queries. The flaw is rooted in insufficient escaping of user-supplied parameters and inadequate query preparation. Attackers can exploit this to append malicious SQL code to existing queries, ultimately enabling them to extract sensitive data from the WordPress database.
