Summary
CVE-2023-5458 is a vulnerability affecting the CITS Support plugin for WordPress before version 3.0. This issue permits users with a minimal Author role to upload malicious SVG files, which are not sanitized upon upload. Malicious SVG files may contain Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) payloads that can execute unwanted code in the web browser of unsuspecting users who view the affected page. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, as it can be exploited to steal sensitive data or gain unauthorized access to WordPress sites.
