Summary

CVE-2023-5429 is a vulnerability affecting the Information Reel plugin for WordPress. This issue allows authenticated attackers with subscriber-level and above permissions to perform SQL Injection attacks. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient escaping on user-supplied parameters and a lack of sufficient preparation of existing SQL queries. Consequently, attackers can append additional SQL queries to existing ones, potentially extracting sensitive data from the database. WordPress users are advised to update to the latest version of the plugin to mitigate this risk.
