Summary

CVE-2023-5413 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Image horizontal reel scroll slideshow plugin for WordPress. This issue, which impacts versions up to and including 13.3, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts into pages via the 'ihrss-gallery' shortcode. Insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes enable the attack, resulting in the execution of the injected scripts whenever a user accesses the affected page.
