Summary

CVE-2023-5386 is a vulnerability affecting the Funnelforms Free plugin for WordPress. This issue arises from a missing capability check on the 'fnsf_delete_posts' function, present in plugin versions up to 3.4. Consequently, authenticated attackers with subscriber-level permissions and above can exploit this flaw to delete arbitrary posts, including administrator posts, and unrelated posts not linked to the Funnelforms Free plugin. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to WordPress sites using the affected plugin version and requires an immediate update to mitigate the threat.
