Summary

CVE-2023-5382 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the Funnelforms Free plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 3.4 are susceptible to this issue. The root cause is the lack of proper nonce validation on the 'fnsf\_delete\_posts' function, which allows unauthenticated attackers to manipulate admin actions, such as deleting arbitrary posts. This vulnerability can be exploited if a site administrator is tricked into clicking on a malicious link. Successful attacks could lead to significant data loss or unauthorized modification of posts on affected WordPress sites. It is strongly recommended that users upgrade to the latest version of the plugin to mitigate this risk.
