Summary

CVE-2023-5335: The Buzzsprout Podcasting plugin for WordPress contains a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This issue, affecting versions up to and including 1.8.3, is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the 'buzzsprout' shortcode. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can exploit this vulnerability by injecting arbitrary web scripts. These scripts will execute whenever an unsuspecting user accesses an injected page.
