Summary
CVE-2023-5333 is a vulnerability affecting Mattermost, an open-source team collaboration platform. An attacker can exploit this issue by sending a specially crafted request to the /api/v4/users/ids endpoint with multiple identical IDs. This input validation flaw results in the application failing to deduplicate the IDs, leading to excessive resource consumption and potential crashes.
