Summary

CVE-2023-52441 is a vulnerability affecting the Linux kernel that has been addressed. This issue was identified in the ksmbd component and involved an out-of-bounds condition in the init_smb2_rsp_hdr function. If a client sent an SMB2 negotiate request followed by an SMB1 negotiate request, the function was incorrectly called for the SMB1 request despite the need_neg flag being set to false. This patch now ignores SMB1 packets after the need_neg flag has been set.
