Summary
CVE-2023-5239 is a vulnerability affecting the Security & Malware scan feature in CleanTalk WordPress plugin prior to version 2.121. This issue allows an attacker to manipulate the client IP address retrieved by the scan from potentially untrusted headers. Manipulation of IP addresses can bypass the plugin's bruteforce protection, making it easier for unauthorized access attempts to go undetected.
