Summary
CVE-2023-5234 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Related Products for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions up to and including 3.3.15, arises due to insufficient sanitization and escaping of user-supplied attributes in the 'woo-related' shortcode. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can exploit this flaw to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts will be executed whenever a user accesses a page containing the malicious code, posing a significant security risk.
