CVE-2023-52284 is a vulnerability affecting the Bytecode Alliance wasm-micro-runtime, also known as WebAssembly Micro Runtime (WAMR), prior to version 1.3.0. This issue stems from a mishandled function named push_pop_frame_ref_offset, which can lead to a "double free or corruption" error when processing a valid WebAssembly module. This flaw could potentially result in memory corruption and subsequent unintended application behavior, posing a significant security risk if exploited.
