Summary

CVE-2023-5210 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the AMP+ Plus WordPress plugin up to version 3.0. The issue lies in the plugin's failure to properly sanitize and escape a user input parameter before rendering it on the page. Malicious scripts can be injected into this vulnerability, posing a significant threat to high privilege users, such as admins, who may unwittingly execute these scripts when accessing the affected site. Successful exploitation could lead to unauthorized account takeover, data theft, or website defacement. Users are advised to update the AMP+ Plus plugin to the latest version and apply additional security measures, such as Input Validation, to mitigate the risk of XSS attacks.
