Summary
CVE-2023-5183 is a critical vulnerability affecting the Illumio PCE network_traffic API endpoint. It involves an unsafe deserialization of untrusted JSON data, allowing an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the affected system. Authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability, and successful exploitation grants the attacker the ability to run code in the context of the PCE's operating system user.
