Summary

CVE-2023-51746 is a newly discovered vulnerability that affects multiple versions of JT2Go and Teamcenter Visualization applications. Specifically, versions prior to V14.3.0.6, V13.3.0.13, V14.1.0.12, V14.2.0.9, and V14.3.0.6 are vulnerable. The issue stems from a stack overflow vulnerability in the way these applications parse specially crafted CGM (Computer Graphics Metafile) files. An attacker who successfully exploits this flaw can execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process, potentially leading to serious security consequences. It is recommended that users upgrade to the latest patched versions of these applications to mitigate this risk.
