Summary

CVE-2023-51745 is a newly discovered vulnerability that affects multiple versions of JT2Go and Teamcenter Visualization applications. The weakness lies in how these software process CGM files, which can result in a stack overflow. An attacker capable of providing a specially crafted CGM file can exploit this flaw and execute code within the affected application, potentially gaining unauthorized control or access. Versions prior to V14.3.0.6 for JT2Go, V13.3.0.13 for Teamcenter Visualization V13.3, V14.1.0.12 for Teamcenter Visualization V14.1, V14.2.0.9 for Teamcenter Visualization V14.2, and V14.3.0.6 for Teamcenter Visualization V14.3 are all impacted. It is strongly recommended that users upgrade to the latest available versions to mitigate this risk.
