Summary

CVE-2023-51736 is a vulnerability affecting Skyworth Router CM5100 versions 4.1.1.24. The issue lies in the lack of adequate validation of user-supplied input for the L2TP/PPTP Username parameter present in the web interface. A remote attacker can exploit this weakness by supplying maliciously crafted input to the vulnerable system's web interface. Successfully exploiting this vulnerability could enable the attacker to execute stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks on the targeted system.
