Summary

CVE-2023-51733 is a newly identified vulnerability affecting Skyworth Router CM5100, specifically version 4.1.1.24. The issue lies in the insufficient validation of user-supplied input for the Identity parameter under Local endpoint settings at the device's web interface. A remote attacker can capitalize on this weakness by submitting maliciously crafted input through the web interface of the vulnerable system. Successfully exploiting the vulnerability enables the attacker to carry out stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks on the targeted device.
