Summary

CVE-2023-51731 is a vulnerability affecting the Skyworth Router CM5100, specifically version 4.1.1.24. This issue stems from insufficient validation of user input for the Hostname parameter at the device's web interface. An attacker can take advantage of this flaw by providing maliciously crafted input to the Hostname parameter. Successfully exploiting this vulnerability enables the attacker to carry out stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks on the targeted system.
