Summary
CVE-2023-51699 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting the Fluid open-source Kubernetes-native Distributed Dataset Orchestrator. It lies in the JuicefsRuntime component of the project and allows authenticated users with the appropriate K8s CRD Dataset/JuicefsRuntime creation or update permissions to inject OS commands. Consequently, attackers can potentially gain unauthorized access, modify, or delete data within juicefs related containers. Users running versions below 0.9.3 are advised to upgrade as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
