Summary

CVE-2023-51661 is a vulnerability affecting Wasmer, a WebAssembly runtime that enables containers to run across various platforms. The issue lies in the fact that Wasm programs can access the filesystem outside of the sandbox, allowing untrusted Wasm code to inadvertently expose the host filesystem. This vulnerability has been mitigated through the release of Wasmer version 4.2.4, which includes a patch to contain the filesystem access.
