Summary

CVE-2023-51449 is a file traversal vulnerability affecting versions of the Gradio Python package prior to 4.11.0. This vulnerability was located in the `/file` route of Gradio apps, which could be exploited by attackers to access arbitrary files on a machine running a Gradio app with a public URL. The issue occurred because of insufficient input validation, allowing path traversal attacks. An attacker could potentially gain access to sensitive files if they knew the file paths to look for. This vulnerability has been addressed in Gradio version 4.11.0.
