Summary
CVE-2023-51379 is an authorization vulnerability affecting GitHub Enterprise Server. This issue enabled unauthorized users with improperly scoped tokens to update issue comments, requiring both contents:write and issues:read permissions. Despite enabling comment modification, this vulnerability did not provide unauthorized access to repository content. Affecting all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server since 3.7, the flaw was addressed in versions 3.17.19, 3.8.12, 3.9.7, 3.10.4, and 3.11.1.
