Summary

CVE-2023-5114 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the idbbee plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions up to 1.0, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the plugin's 'idbbee' shortcode. Consequently, authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions and above can inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts will execute when an unsuspecting user accesses an infected page, posing a significant threat to data confidentiality and integrity.
