Summary

CVE-2023-50962 is a vulnerability affecting IBM PowerSC MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) versions 1.3, 2.0, and 2.1. The issue lies in the lack of implementation of the "HTTP Strict Transport Security" (HSTS) web security policy mechanism. This means that the IBM PowerSC MFA does not enforce secure connections over HTTPS by default, potentially leaving user data vulnerable to interception during transmission over HTTP. IBM has assigned X-Force ID 276004 to this issue.
