Summary

CVE-2023-50766 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the Jenkins Nexus Platform Plugin version 3.18.0-03 and earlier. An attacker can exploit this issue by sending a malicious HTTP request to a vulnerable Jenkins server, forcing the server to make a request to an attacker-specified URL. The server will then parse the response as XML, potentially leading to unauthorized data access or modification. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, as it enables attackers to hijack user sessions and perform actions on their behalf. Users are encouraged to update their Jenkins Nexus Platform Plugin to a patched version to mitigate this risk.
