Summary

CVE-2023-50449 is a new directory traversal vulnerability affecting JFinalCMS version 5.0.0. An attacker can exploit this weakness by manipulating the fileKey parameter in the /common/down endpoint, allowing them to read files located outside of the intended directory. This issue poses a significant security risk as it enables unauthorized access to sensitive files on the affected system. Successful exploitation could lead to information disclosure, potentially resulting in data breaches or other malicious activities. Users are strongly advised to update their JFinalCMS installations to a patched version as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
