Summary
CVE-2023-5036 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the usememos/memos GitHub repository before version 0.15.1. An attacker could exploit this issue by manipulating a user into visiting a malicious website, resulting in unintended actions being performed on their GitHub account, such as committing unwanted changes or transferring ownership of repositories. The vulnerability poses a serious security risk, as it bypasses the user's authenticated session, allowing unauthorized actions to be taken. Users are strongly encouraged to update their repositories to the latest version to mitigate this threat.
