Summary

CVE-2023-505: A critical vulnerability has been identified in the Contact Form 7 and autocomplete-location-field-Contact-Form-7-Pro WordPress plugins, affecting versions prior to 3.0 and 2.0 respectively. These plugins fail to sanitize and escape certain settings, making them susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks. High privilege users, including admins, can exploit this weakness, even when the unfiltered_html capability is disabled. In multisite setups, this vulnerability can pose a serious threat to multiple sites using the same infrastructure.
