Summary

CVE-2023-49964 is a newly discovered vulnerability affecting Hyland Alfresco Community Edition versions up to 7.2.0. This issue allows an attacker to execute Server-Side Template Injection (SSTI) attacks by inserting malicious content into the folder.get.html.ftl file. Through SSTI, the attacker can manipulate FreeMarker exposed objects to bypass security restrictions, leading to Remote Code Execution (RCE). Notably, this vulnerability is a result of an incomplete fix for a previously identified issue, CVE-2020-12873.
