Summary

CVE-2023-49791 is a vulnerability affecting the Nextcloud Server, which is used for data storage in the open-source cloud platform Nextcloud. Versions prior to 26.0.9 and 27.1.4 of Nextcloud Server, as well as specific versions of Nextcloud Enterprise Server, are susceptible to this issue. If an attacker gains access to another user's active session, they can delete or modify workflows by bypassing the password confirmation shown in the UI through API calls. Users of the affected versions are advised to apply the patches for Nextcloud Server 26.0.9 and 27.1.4, and Nextcloud Enterprise Server 23.0.12.13, 24.0.12.9, 25.0.13.4, 26.0.9, and 27.1.4 to mitigate this security risk, as no workarounds are currently available.
