Summary

CVE-2023-49494 is a newly discovered reflection-based cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting DedeCMS version 5.7.111. This issue allows an attacker to inject malicious scripts into a targeted website by exploiting a vulnerability in the component select_media_post_wangEditor.php. Successful exploitation could result in unintended execution of malicious code, leading to data theft, site defacement, or other malicious activities. Users of DedeCMS are strongly encouraged to update their systems as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
