Summary

CVE-2023-49488 is a newly disclosed cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Openfiler ESA version 2.99.1. This issue permits attackers to inject malicious web scripts or HTML code into the nic parameter, allowing them to execute arbitrary code in the context of affected users. By exploiting this vulnerability, an attacker could steal sensitive information, install malware, or take control of the user's session. Users are strongly advised to update their Openfiler ESA installation to a patched version as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
