Summary
CVE-2023-49462 is a newly discovered vulnerability affecting libheif version 1.17.5. This issue involves a segmentation violation located in the /libheif/exif.cc component of the library. An attacker could potentially exploit this flaw by sending maliciously crafted data to a vulnerable system, causing it to crash or execute arbitrary code.
