Summary

CVE-2023-49278 is a vulnerability affecting Umbraco, an ASP.NET content management system. In versions 8.0.0 and earlier, up to 8.18.10, 10.8.1, and 12.3.4, a brute force attack can be used to successfully gather valid usernames. This issue does not impact the latest patched versions, 8.18.10, 10.8.1, and 12.3.4. By exploiting this vulnerability, an attacker can gain valuable information to aid in further attacks, so it's crucial for users to apply the provided patches as soon as possible.
