Summary

CVE-2023-49276 is a vulnerability affecting the open-source self-hosted monitoring tool, Uptime Kuma. The issue lies in the Google Analytics element, which is susceptible to Attribute Injection, resulting in Cross-Site-Scripting (XSS) attacks. The custom status interface allows setting an independent Google Analytics ID, and the template lacks proper sanitization. Consequently, attackers can inject malicious attributes, leading to XSS attacks. This vulnerability was resolved in commit `f28dccf4e`, which is included in release version 1.23.7. Users are strongly advised to upgrade to mitigate this risk, as there are currently no known workarounds.
